C2C Christmas Tree
Here’s a quick and easy C2C Christmas tree pattern that you can use to make a wall hanging or cushion.
Corner to corner (c2c) crochet is one of my favourite stitches. It produces unique texture and the ability to create fabulous colourwork. Stripes, pictures and geometric patterns are just some of the fun projects you can make using C2C. If you haven’t tried C2C before then head to my C2C Tutorial to learn.
What you will need:
Yarn – Scheepjes Stonewashed XL in Moonstone (x3), Malachite (x2), Brown Agate (x1) and Beryl (x1).
Size 4.5mm hook
a rod to attach the hanging (approx 45cm)
ribbon to hang
Finished Size – is approx 40cm square
Chart
Each coloured block in the chart below represents 1 block of 4 trebles. Start at the bottom right and work your way up to the top left corner.
Written Instructions
Each letter in the written pattern represents 1 block (4 trebles) in the colour indicated. When it is followed by a number, the number indicates how many of each block should be made in that colour. ie; “Row 6: W3, G, W2” would mean work 3 blocks in White, 1 block in Green and 2 blocks in White. Turn your work at the end of each row.

Embellishments
To decorate my C2C Christmas Tree i added small ornanments, which i’ve stitch in place. I also added a yellow pom pom to represent the star. You can decorate your Christmas tree in anyway you like – bells, embroidery, teeny pompom and more!
Attaching the rod and ribbon
Add three rows of trebles (US dc) across the top of the wall hanging. Fold over towards back and stitch in place. This creates a hollow tunnel to slide in the rod. Tie a length of ribbon to each end of the rod for hanging. Ta DA!
Don’t forget to tag your #c2cchristmastree if you use this pattern! 🙂
I love your Christmas Tree hanging. I’ve yet to try the corner to corner pattern!
Why can I not print your free patterns? They show words over the printed text (almost like a watermark).
You’ll need to convert your browser to reader, then you can print them off without any issues.
