Chunky Crochet Popcorn Cushion
I have a slight addiction to round crochet cushions, so i wanted to share this free Simply Chunky Paintbox cushion pattern (the pink and blue cushions) which features the popcorn crochet stitch. This pattern works up quickly and can easily be finished in a day. It only take 3 balls of Paintbox Yarns Simply Chunky, a lovely and soft acrylic yarn from LoveCrochet.
This pattern is written in UK terms, but i’ve included both UK and US shorthand instructions at the end of the tutorial. Okay – let’s get started!

Thank you for the tutorial, this looks really fun to make. Nice gift ideas even if given as a kit to someone to make themselves.
Yes they make great gift ideas because they’re so quick to make! 🙂
The cushions look so pretty Mandy! Thank you for the lovely tutorial 🙂 xo
You’re welcome Kellie. It’s always nice to see you here. 🙂
Thank you for the pattern. I love all of your round cushions. I’ve only made one but I found some round pillow forms at a rummage sale one time and I’d like to make some more.

The hardest thing about this project is finding a round insert. Op shops are great but i also found some on ebay. 🙂
I just buy a square insert & sew a round one from that! £1 each at Wilko!
Yes i’ve done that before, but i’m a rough sewer so it was a pretty rough circle. 🙂
Great idea! 🙂
This is an awesome cushion should try. I am not good in reading the knitting. Is there any tutorial in video? Thank you 🙂
Thank you! I’m sorry i don’t do video tutorials. 🙂
Love this post. Thank you!😘😘
Glad you like it! Thank you.
