Easy Crochet Granny Square Cushion

crochet granny squareNothing beats a good old crochet granny square cushion! It is so versatile and can be made in all the colours of the yarn rainbow, especially when using Paintbox Yarns!! This isn’t exactly a tutorial but i wanted to write a blog post for this project because i ALWAYS get asked what Paintbox colours i use. I thougbt it would be easier to list them here. Another question i’m often asked is how i make my granny squares? This is a great question because i don’t always use the same formula.

Granny Square Formula for my Granny Square Cushion

Scroll down to see the chart for this granny square. I’ve used 3 chains at the corners and one in the space along the sides. That are lots of different formulas for granny squares and sometimes i like to eliminate the chains down the side to make a more solid granny, but for this pattern i didn’t need the square to be compact.

Here are the details for the yarn i used are as follows – Paintbox Cotton Aran in colours: Paper White, Mustard Yellow, Blush Pink, Peach Orange, Washed Teal, Daffodil Yellow, Bubblegum Pink, Stormy Grey and Tea Rose. Paintbox Yarns are one of my favourite brands to use. I just love the large range of colours they have across all their different kinds of yarn. crochet granny squarecrochet granny squarecrochet granny squareCrochet blog
