{Crochet} Easy Peasy Chunky Beanie

crochet beanie patternBeanie weather is upon us and this Easy Peasy Chunky beanie pattern is fun and QUICK to make. The pattern is written UK Terms, but i have included shorthand instructions at the end of this tutorial in both UK and US terms. I have already made four of these beanies this week and the week isn’t over yet! Soft and stretchy – this beanie will fit a child from about 12 years to your average adult. I have used the same pattern for all of my family members and they range from age 12 to ffff….excuse my stutter…fforty. This pattern is written for 1x ball of DMC Natural XL and is available at Yummy Yarn and co.

Depending on your tension you should have enough yarn leftover for a small pom pom. Use your favourite method for making pom poms  – I  like using clover pom pom makers or the old fashioned cardboard donut works a treat too. Or you can follow my very easy pom pom making tutorial here.
