Meet Nikki from Brown Paper Lemon, a talented illustrator living on the Gold Coast, bringing her creations to life on beautiful pillowcases. I first came across Nikki playing #7vignettes on Instagram. Have you played before? It’s a fun Instagram game, hosted by the Jen Bishop from the Interiors Addict, where you are challenged to create little vignettes based on 7 themes or prompts.

Nikki’s vignettes always stand out in the feed. I found myself immediately drawn to her unique images and talent for drawing. Her crisp images often feature an illustration or two, making her vignettes completely original, impossible to replicate. You can check out Nikki’s Instagram feed here. Seriously, this girl has talent! Just check out his gorgeous costume, Max from Where the Wild Things Are, that she created for her son.

Today we are taking a look into the creative space of @awhitestyle. This feed is one of my current favourites on Instagram – Janelle from @awhitestyle. I have been following Janelle for a while and i must say that i really LOVE her style. She shares pictures of her daily life everyday on Instagram. Her interiors are beautiful mix of classic, real and warm.

I love Janelle’s style simply because it feels so effortless. There’s no overstyling or obsessing about perfectly placed cups – well, at least it doesn’t appear that way. All of her images feel like real, unedited snapshots of her life…..and it’s a beautiful life!

She recently shared 20 facts about herself on IG which confirmed why i love her feed so much. She’s a real person! yay! You gotta love authenticity. She loves to knit, crochet, DIY, bake and craft. She’s a cat lover, coffee lover and WINE lover.

Janelle shares the most divine images of her cooking creations on IG and shares her recipies happily on her blog – www.awhitefarm.blogspot.com.au And while i kinda hate cooking, i do love eating and her bakes looking particularly inticing. I’m almost inspired to take up baking.

Baxter and Lolly the cats star pretty heavily in her Janelle’s feed. They are seriously living the dream! Lolly in particular is Janelle’s little furry shadow. So adorable.

{Creatives’ Spaces} Shani Nottingham from Rare Pear Studio

collage butterflies womanI’ve decided it is time to pay tribute to the wonderful woman in my life that not only encourage me creativity, but inspire me on a daily basis with their talent and creative interior styling. Today’s creative space belongs to  Shani Nottingham from Rare Pear Studio.

australian artistI had been following Shani for a little while on Instagram, before I approached her about photographing her home for Central West Lifestyle Magazine. Her IG feed is a visual feast, bursting with creativity and colour, so I was confident her home would be equally as interesting, and i wasn’t disappointed!cosy reading nookShani is a collector, gatherer and curator. Her home is both warm and fascinating. Everywhere you look there is a conversation starter, which is why I spent 5hrs visiting her home…..we talked and talked and talked. It was astounding how much we had in common and I left that day knowing I had made a good friend.

collector coloured glassShani’s collects glass with a passion and it is displayed lovingly throughout her home, adding a rainbow of colour where ever you look. Her pottery collected from op shops and secondhand stores, sit proudly on display atop thrifted or gifted cupboards. There is an abundance of eclectic objects that you don’t expect to be grouped in one room, but it works, and you feel some understanding of how Shani thinks – like a little glimpse into how her mind works.
