Crochet Heart Bees Amigurumi Pattern

Body

With a 4.5 mm crochet hook and C1 yarn:

  1. Make an adjustable ring.
  2. Round 1: ch 1, 6 hdc into the ring, join with sl st in the first st. (6 hdc)
  3. Round 2: ch 1, 2 sc in the first st, *sc in the next st, 2 sc in the next st; repeat from * around, join with sl st in the first st. (9 sc)
  4. Round 3: With C2, ch 1, 2 sc in the first st, *sc in each of the next 2 st, 2 sc in the next st; repeat from * around, join with sl st in the first st. (12 sc)
    Repeat Round 3 for Round 4. (16 sc)
  5. Round 5: With C1, ch 1, 2 sc in the first st, *sc in each of the next 3 st, 2 sc in the next st; repeat from * around, join with sl st in the first st. (20 sc)
    Repeat Round 5 for Round 6. (25 sc)
  6. Round 7: With C2, ch 1, sc in each st around, join with sl st in the first st. (25 sc)
  7. Round 8: ch 1, 2 sc in the first st, *sc in each of the next 4 st, 2 sc in the next st; repeat from * around, join with sl st in the first st. (30 sc)
    Rounds 9 to 11: ch 1, sc in each st around, join with sl st in the first st. (30 sc) Start adding fiberfill as you go.

Top of the Heart

  1. Round 12: ch 1, sc in each of 15 st, join with sl st in the first st. (15 sc)
    Repeat the round for Round 13. (15 sc)
  2. Round 14: ch 1, sc in the first st, *sc2tog, sc in the next st; repeat from * around, join with sl st in the first st. (10 sc)
  3. Round 15: ch 1, sc in each st around, join with sl st in the first st. (10 sc)
  4. Round 16: ch 1, sc in the first st, *sc2tog, sc in the next st; repeat from * around, join with sl st in the first st. (7 sc) Add more fiberfill and stuff firmly to shape the heart.
  5. Finishing: Fasten off and cut the yarn, leaving about a 10” long tail. Use the tapestry needle to weave through the stitches of the last round, pull tightly to close, and secure with a few stitches.

Attaching Eyes

  • Insert safety eyes between Rounds 10 and 11, approximately 5 stitches apart. Adjust as necessary to ensure they are centered.

Other Side of the Heart Top

  • Follow the same pattern for the other side of the heart top, starting by joining C2 yarn in one of the skipped stitches from the first side.

Small Wing (make 2)

  1. With a 4 mm crochet hook and C3 yarn, ch 5.

Large Wing (make 2)

  1. Start with ch 7.
  2. Follow a similar pattern to the small wing, adjusted for size to end up with 13 sc in the first row and a similar shape in the second row.

Attaching Wings

  • Sew each wing on the sides of the heart using the yarn tails.

Mouth

  • Embroider a triangular mouth with black yarn between the eyes.
