Step by step Pattern

Setup: Leave a lengthy tail for cinching the top of the hat closed. Chain 69. SL ST in the first chain to form a ring.
Round 1 (RS): Chain 2. In the same stitch make [2 DC, CH 2, SC]. Skip 2 chains. *In the next stitch make [2 DC, CH 2, SC]. Skip 2 chains. Repeat from * to end. SL ST to join in the first stitch. (69 stitches and 23 chain-2 spaces)

Round 3 to Round 14: Repeat Round 2.
