Pattern:

Front:
  1. Start: Slip knot and chain 2.
  2. Row 1: SC in the 2nd chain from the hook, CH 1, and turn. (1 SC)
  3. Row 2: 3 SC in the SC, CH 1, and turn. (3 SC)
  4. Continue increasing this manner through Row 9, ending with 17 SC in Row 9.
  5. Row 10-11: SC across, increasing at the beginning and end of Row 11. (Row 10: 17 SC, Row 11: 19 SC)
  6. Row 12: SC across, CH 2, and turn. (19 SC)
  7. Row 13: DC in the first SC, CH 17, skip 17 SC, DC in the last SC. CH 1 and turn.
  8. Row 14: SC across, CH 1, and turn. (19 SC)

Assembling:

  1. Sew the zipper onto one side of the purse edges. If the zipper is too long, you may need to adjust it by cutting it.
  2. Facing the wrong sides together: SC together around the edges to join the front and back pieces.
  3. Finishing touch: Work on a finishing round of SC in the next SC, Picot in the next, and SC in the next, and repeat this sequence around the purse.
