Making a Ring:

In this tutorial, we shall use the chain ring method for beginners as described below:

  • Make the slipknot and ch 4.
  • Join with a sl st in the first chain to form a ring.

Round 1: 

  • Ch 3 to start round 1 (counts as first dc), then work 11 dc into the center of the ring.
  • Join with a sl st to the top of the beginning ch 3. (You should have 12 dc total, including the beginning ch 3)

Round 2: 

  • Ch 3 (counts as first dc or turning chains).
  • Make 1 dc in the same stitch, then work 2 dc (dc inc) in each stitch around.
  • Join with a sl st to the top of the beginning ch 3. (24 dc total).

Round 3: 

  • Ch 3 (counts as first dc).
  • Make 1 dc in the same stitch and 1 dc in the next stitch, * then 2 dc in the next st, and 1 dc in the next st. Repeat from * to around.

  • Join with a sl st to the top of the beginning ch 3. (60 dc total)
