MATERIALS AND GAUGE

  • Hook: 4.5mm
  • Yam: Lily Sugar n’ Cream worsted weight cotton yarn 2 5 or skeins any colorist

Gauge: 14 sc & 7 rows = 4 inches

Notions: yam needle

Dimensions (side height, across the top when closed flat, bottom depth), ounces (skeins) of yarn

Small: 8.25′ x 9.5″ x 2 5″, 4 oz (2 skeins)

Medium: 7.5″ x 12″ x 3.5″ , 5.5 oz (3 skeins)

Large: 8″ x 13.5 x 4″, 7 oz (3 skeins)

The hook. gauge, and dmensions listed are guidelines to give you an idea of how much yarn you might need.

If you’re unsure, buy a little extra yam … you know you want to.

I use the smallest hook I can with the yarn I’m using so the fabric is dense, which results in a sturdy handbag. Lining the handbag makes it even sturdier and helps it keep its shape. My handbag keeps its shape even when it’s packed to the gills.
