Welcome to my crochet blog!
I’m Mandy, mad crocheter and Instagram addict! A few years ago i learned how to crochet and found my passion. After years of working in a career that didn’t fulfil me, i finally decided it was time to indulge my creative side. I’m so glad that i did. Here you will find lots of free crochet patterns, fun ideas and tutorials.
A little about me and REDAGAPE
Well, R,E, and D, are the first initials of my childrens’ names and ‘agape’ is greek for ‘unconditional love’. I live on small property in country Australia with my family, 4 alpacas, 2 dogs, 2 cats, 10 goldfish and too many chickens to count! Feel free to have a good look around my crochet blog and if you’d like to comment or contact me, please do as i love meeting new people.

Hi Mandy.ive just found your site and love it.
My girlfriend and i discovered a comeback love of crocheting 6 months ago and love it. Its creative, relaxing, inspiring, exciting and grows so quick.
We tell our hubbies, we are addicted, and its a good thing to be addicted to.
A new bought colour or 5…., brings so much joy.
Bless you.
Isn’t it funny how crochet is coming back in a BIG way. There are worse things to be addicted to Sally! I use crochet to relax too – I just LOVE it. Thanks for leaving a comment here. Xx
I did not know tht there was an Internation Crochet Day!!!! Thanks for letting me know!! I agree wtih the lady who is going to tell her failmy that it is a 2nd Mother’s Day. It is also Grandparent’s Day, so I get a double day. Hmmmm, I could start dropping hints for “International Crochet Day” gifts. There is a lovely silk bamboo yarn I want to use for a shawl….there is a set of ergonomic hooks with the handle and interchangeable hooks, not to mention the hooks that light up, oh I could make a very long list. I will settle for a day of peace and quite so I can just crochet!!!! = D
Present on International Crochet day?! Great idea!! I would have a very long list too. Thanks for leaving a comment here xx
I have been following you on Instagram without knowing you have a guest house in Millthorpe. I’m a crochet addict who lives in Millthorpe. I love your crochet and photos xxoo

I’m new to your blog I’m a beginner at crochet I wanted to know if you have a video tutorial on the granny square heart I’m really having a difficult time trying to crochet it thanks Shirley
Hi Shirley, no i don’t have a video tutorial, but if you head to Steel and Stitch the lovely Em has a tutorial that may help. It’s different to my pattern but will give you a very similar result. Hope this helps.
Hello
I was hoping to get buying info on the big map over the desk in your office. Thanks!!
Amy
Hi Amy! it’s from Telegram a stationary company. http://www.notemaker.com.au/telegram-map-of-the-world-medium-1-25-x-0-9m i’ve added a link for you. 🙂
Hello Mandy,
You have a lovely website.
I have a few small blogs, including Free Baby Projects, Make Things for Kids and also one for the home. You have several projects that suit my readers and I would like to ask permission to share by attaching a photo of your project, I write a little about what I like about that project and then provide the link to your website.
Thank you for your time.
Regards Fay
Australia
of course Fay, that’s no problem. I’m always happy for people to share especially when they credit. Thanks for asking. xx
Hi Mandy- just love your blog, webpage, crochet and colours! I noticed you’re in Millthorpe, I lived there about 20 years ago, now I live in Bathurst. Have you ever considered hosting a crochet retreat/ day, I would love that!! 😊🎀💗
Hello! yes i have, but i live 2hrs from Millthorpe so logistically it would be a bit tricky. I love the idea though! Maybe one day when i live closer. 🙂
Hi Mandy, I follow you on Instagram and your blog and really love your work. I’ve made some mandalas and am kind of obsessed with them. Thank you so much for the patterns. I posted one on FB but gave you credit for the pattern (not that I have many friends/followers). I would love to show them to you but am unsure how to do that.
Just wanted to reach out from California ’cause you make me happy!
Take care, Cheryl
Hi Mandy, Your works are soooo beautiful! Im so glad to have found you! I found you by accident on instagram and so glad to read I am not alone. I crochet for therapy too. I feel like my life has been a constant roller coaster of anxiety with constant bad news. In the past I made handmade gifts and gave my works away to friends / family. My therapist actually encouraged me to do a blog and try sell my works (even if I don’t get profit). I set up a webpage and I am loving the feedback and my confidence is growing. Crochet has now become an obsession 😊 in a way – I cannot go a day without it, but it is a healthy way of releasing stress. You can find my blog here – https://www.madebynina.net
Hi Mandy O’Sullivan,
I have a question about your Spring Wreath featured on instagram and in molliemakes, you dont state what hook size to uses for the different parts and there is an error on the four leaf clover there is a * missing in the beginning so where do we repeat from? Thanks for any help you can give me.
hi Christine! Sorry for the delay in replying. I currently have a copy of the Four Leaf Clover Mollie MAkes free printable and i can see the * clearly for repeat in the first line of round two. And the hook size states 3.5mm in the materials list. Did you purchase the pattern from ravelry or did you download the printables when they were available for free? If your * is missing, please start the repeat at (dc, htr) which are the first two stitches. I hope this helps! 🙂 Mandy xx
I purchased the pattern from ravelry, thank you for replying I kinda figured the pattern out.
Hi Mandy
I’m a crochet lover
