What is called Double crochet three together in the UK? In the UK, you will know the double crochet three together as the treble crochet three together (tr3tog). Sometimes, it is confusing, but once you check the chart showing UK and US term differences, you will never forget.

How DC3TOG Works?

This stitch decreases the length of the row or round by making the clusters of incomplete double crochet in three stitches.

How To double crochet three together (Summary)?

  • Yarn over (YO) and insert the hook into the first stitch.
  • YO and pull up a loop.
  • YO and draw through the first two loops on the hook. (Two loops remaining on the hook.)
  • Repeat steps 1-3 in the next two stitches. (There should be four loops on the hook after completing this step.)
  • YO and draw through all four loops on the hook.

In this section, I will explain this stitch in detail. Let’s learn how to crochet double three together. However, before you crochet this, make the slip knot and make a series of foundation chains. Now I shall start the instructions:

Skill Level: Beginner

First Incomplete Double Crochet 

  • Yarn over and insert the hook into the stitch.
  • Yarn over and pull up a loop as usual when we do the double crochet.

  • Instead of pulling the last loop, yarn over and insert the crochet hook into the next stitch.
  • You watched; we did an incomplete double crochet.
  • After inserting the hook, pull the yarn over again and up a loop.

Third, Incomplete Double Crochet and finalizing

  • Again, yarn over and insert the crochet hook into the next stitch.
  • Yarn over and pull up a loop.
  • Yarn over and pull through two loops.
  • You will again have 4 loops on the hook.

  • In the end, Yarn over and pull through all four loops.
